Dr. Joel Coret is a physical chemist whose career has centered on interfacial science and the design of advanced delivery systems across beauty, medical, and health-care categories. He has held senior leadership roles in some of the world’s most influential innovation environments, bringing new technologies to market and shaping product portfolios that have reached millions of consumers.

 

At Bentley Labs, Dr. Coret served as Vice President of New Technologies, where he helped develop hundreds of new formulations spanning prestige skin care, hair care, and personal care. Earlier in his career, he was a hair-care expert at Procter & Gamble and a founding member of the Pantene Hair Research Alliance, where his work contributed to foundational understandings of conditioning mechanisms, material performance, and consumer-perceivable benefits.

 

As Chief Technology Officer of PolySciences Inc., he led the creation of new materials for medical devices and other FDA-regulated categories, bringing rigorous scientific frameworks to the intersection of chemistry and human health. At Johnson & Johnson, he guided applied research in targeted active-delivery technologies, exploring novel methods for improving efficacy and specificity across therapeutic and consumer applications. Before that, as Innovation Director at Rhodia, he led programs focused on next-generation bioactive delivery systems and performance materials.

 

Dr. Coret’s scientific contributions include dozens of posters and presentations delivered at World Congress Hair Research meetings, multiple peer-reviewed publications, and a portfolio of U.S. and international patents. He is also a Fellow of the TRI Princeton Research Institute, recognized for his expertise in hair fiber science, surface chemistry, and applied polymer systems.
